🌸 mei♡ 🌸Hello, I’m Mei!Born and raised in the Philippines. I can converse fluently in both Filipino and English. I may have a difficult time with certain slang and vocabulary though, thank you for your understanding!I am currently a teacher, not art-related. Through the years, I have taught myself to make art! I am mostly self-taught since early childhood, and I have learned mostly through observation and techniques from fellow artists.ㅤ

SPECIFICS:

🌸 20+ years of drawing (no art degree or formal training, but currently taking up my MBA degree).🌸 Participated in various zines, including HÉROES.🌸 Currently working on my own webcomic, "Heliosphere: Under the Sky".🌸 Doing commission work since 2020. Here is my commission gallery (starting from 2022).ㅤ🌸 Current art programs: Clip Studio Paint (digital painting / rendering), Aseprite (pixel art / animation).ㅤ

MISC NOTES:

🌸 I often prefer drawing original characters to existing characters, but I can draw both.🌸 I have a huge interest in personification and certain topics (educational or not), like space, plants, zodiac, etc.🌸 I prefer drawing things like food and nature landscapes as opposed to geometric buildings.🌸 Some of the many things I love: cats, flowers, tea, vintage, and the colour pink!

Q: What programs do you use for your art?A: Currently using Clip Studio Paint, migrated from years of use of Paint Tool SAI. Even years back, I used Adobe Photoshop 7, ImageReady, iDraw3, Macromedia Flash MX, and probably some other programs I couldn't remember. I also have some experience programming a game using RPG Maker 2000!
ㅤQ: When did you start drawing?A: I showed interest in doodling when I was around 4, and I just ended up drawing a lot because I enjoyed it! I am almost entirely self-taught however, so my skills aren't really that of a pro's despite my years of experience. But I am always open to learning new techniques in art to further improve my skills!
ㅤQ: Are your commissions open?A: I will inform the public whenever they are open. There will always be a news update on the front page of my Carrd!
ㅤQ: I'm interested in commissioning you. How do I contact you and what are your modes of payment?A: My current modes of payments are PayPal and Ko-Fi. If you are interested, you may email me at [email protected] so that we may discuss further matters.
ㅤQ: Do you accept commissions that are intended to support NFTs, cryptos, AI art, and the like in any form?A: Until there is an established ethical usage and/or creation of the above mentioned, I will not allow any of my creations to support them in any way or form.

........ ❀ GENERAL ❀ ........1. FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED. Your slot is secured upon full payment. Payment may be done partially, but I will only start with your commission once it is fully paid.
ㅤ2. REFUSALS AND CANCELLATIONS. The artist has the right to refuse or cancel any commission for any specified reason. E.g., inappropriate behaviour, difference in individual ideals and values, malicious intent, etc.
ㅤ3. NO NFT, CRYPTO, OR AI-TRAINING RELATED ACTIVITY. No part in the transaction, or in my art thereof, is allowed for any NFT, crypto, or AI training art-related activities. I don't consent my art to be used to train AI, especially at this time responsible and ethical use of AI has not yet been established.
ㅤ4. NO R18 OR NSFW. Excessive gore, violence, sexual themes, and the like, are not allowed.
ㅤ5. COMMUNICATION. Communication regarding commissions will be primarily via direct messages or emails. It will usually flow like this:........ ❀ proposed idea

ㅤ6. MENTIONS. You may request to be mentioned, or stay anonymous, when your commission is to be posted.
ㅤ7. PUBLIC POSTING. On the same note as #6, you may also request to have your commission posted or not in social media. This will also include streaming your commission progress, if possible (commissioner will be informed of its schedule if approved).
ㅤ8. REVISIONS. The first three revisions are free of charge, guaranteed! AFTER 3 (THREE) REVISIONS: succeeding revisions will incur charges, and each commission type will have only a set number of revisions allowed.❀ Commission Type — Extra Charge PER REVISION — Revision limit (in total) ❀........ ❀ Sketch (monochrome/coloured) — 1-2 Ko-fi (3-6 USD). Up to 5 revisions allowed.
........ ❀ Icon — 2-3 Ko-fis (6-9 USD). Up to 6 revisions allowed.
........ ❀ Cel-shaded — 2-3 Ko-fis (6-9 USD). Up to 7 revisions allowed.*Revision fees will be charged according to complexity of the revision request change. Sketches have less charges incurred due to the simplicity of the product compared to the other two that are meant to be more detailed.Thank you very much for understanding!
ㅤ9. NO COMMERCIAL DISTRIBUTION. Personal use is fine, such as using the commissioned art for your banner or icon. Commercial distribution is not allowed, such as reselling my art for merchandise (e.g. prints, charms, etc.)
ㅤ10. REFUNDS. Refunds are allowed during unforeseeable circumstances on both ends. Kindly communicate with me clearly regarding these situations, if incurred. Refunds are NOT possible however if the commissioned art is already past the rough sketch stage (WIP 1). Charity commissions are also NOT refundable as proceeds are immediately donated to the concerned organisation/s.
